Stamping Sistahs SCS Challenge

Today's card combines yesterday's color challenge (using Cool Caribbean, White, and Black) and today's sketch challenge. The card base is Cool Caribbean. The 3 panels on top of that are Black and White that I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Spots embossing folder. The main image is my Bellas stamped on White c.s. and colored with watercolor crayons. I put dazzling diamonds somewhere on each of the girls. I layered that on Black and Cool Caribbean and added black grosgrain to 2 of the corners. The main image and layers is up on dimensionals.

Now- I want to take a minute and share a little trick I learned yesterday. A trick I wish I would have known 3 weeks ago when I "let" my husband buy me that expensive little Cuttlebug. How would you like to be able to still use the Cuttlebug embossing folders to add dimension to your projects without spending an arm and a leg for the machine that lets you do it!? Here's how:
1. Spritz a little water on the piece of cardstock that you want to emboss.
2. Put the cardstock in the emossing folder and tape shut (to keep the c.s. from moving around inside the folder).
3. Using an even amount of pressure, roll over the folder with your rolling pin- and Voila.....you should now have an embossed piece of cardstock!
The folders are fairly inexpensive, so this may be the way to go and you could save yourself anywhere between $60 & $80! Yes- that's how much one of those little bugs cost!! Now you go give it a try. Oh yeah- an added bonus (besides saving you money) is that you burn a few calories doing it this way. You'll use muscles in your arms that you probably haven't in a while and your abs will get a workout too. If you don't believe me go try it!!!!
