Bear Hugs

What a gloomy, rainy day! It's making for terrible lighting for this project. These are what Carter took today for his little preschool pals. I didn't want to do any candy. He is in an intergrated classroom and candy doesn't mix well with some of the children. And none of them NEED candy, really. So I bought the prepackages Teddy Grahams. I used my Top Note die to make a topper for the bag. I added the "Big Bear Hug For You" sentiment and the little bear as well, from the Bear Hugs set, by CC Designs. Nothing fancy, but 3 year olds don't do fancy!

Valentine's Day Post Card

I've been wrapping my brain for something for the daycare kids to give to their parents for Valentine's Day without having to spend more money than I've already spent for the kids. In the middle of the night I came up with this cute post card idea. I used my Top Note Die and mounted it to a larger piece of cardstock. Then I used the Post Card stamp from the Winter Post set and the Happy Valentine's Day stamp from Holidays & Wishes. The scallop square punch always reminds me of a postage stamp so I used that and added a picture of Carter for this one. I addedf a few hearts and left some white space for the kids to write a message to their parents. Carter wanted to write his name. So there you have a very simple little project that the parents are sure to treasure.

Another Snow Day Little Stinker!

I don't know about you, but I'm REALLY tired of winter. We are stuck inside yet another day because by the time it is all said and done today, we will have gotten 10 or so inches of snow (on top of what was already on the ground!). The kids are home.....again. I don't think they have a had a full week of school since before Christmas! That brings me to my next PTI Forest Friends card. This one is for Valentine's Day. I love the skunk with the "little stinker" sentiment. The "Happy Valentine's Day" is a misc. stamp that I had laying around. The black and white d.p. is old. I have not idea where it came from. I did get to work on the Mojo Monday sketch yesterday, but will wait until tomorrow to post that card. Have a great snow day!

Cupcake Take Along Tote

I've said this a million times over, but if you haven't purchased any of Lauren's Timeless Templates from PTI, then you are missing out big time! They are such a great way to dress up you gift packaging. This time I used part of the Take Along Tote. The great thing about these templates is that you can use just parts of them to create really cool things. So this gift will be going to my nephews for Valentine's Day. I like to get them a little something for all of the holidays with out spending a lot and I like to get them something that they can do together. It usually involves food! This time is no different and who doesn't love cupcakes?! If you'd like more specific instructions on how to make one of your own, please visit Nichole Heady's blog here. She has easy to follow instructions with measurements, but you need to purchase the Take Along Template to complete this project.

Puppy Love

This is Hemi's Valentine's Treat. I found this lollipop type thing at Walmart. It says Puppy Kiss. She can eat the whole thing, stick and all. It's made from Peanut Butter and other things that puppies love. I don't have an dog stamps, except this Lucky stamp from the C.C. Designs Winter Time Fun set from last year. I just colored and cut out Lucky and put a little heart in his paws! I guess I need to build my collection of puppy stamps since I am now a dog owner.
I used Lauren's Lollipop Along template for this one. It came together rather quickly since it's for the dog I didn't take the time to add alot of bling to it! It was a hard to get a photo without a glare, but you get the idea.

Here is Hemi watching me photograph this project, wondering why I wouldn't let her have it right now!

Friend To Friend

Here is another card I whipped up for Valentine's Day. I admit that I don't really like it. It's a little busy. I was picturing in my head opening this little envelope and all these hearts (love) came pouring out into the wind (the swirls cuttlebug background). I used the items in the Love You Much Bundle again for this one. And the little envelope was created using the mini envelope Sizzix die.

Candy Airplane

I'm officialy wore out! I haven't slept all week. The kids are still sick and now I am too. This weekend I don't plan on doing much more than sleeping. While at the doctor's office on Tuesday getting Austin medicine we looked through the Valentine section of the Family Fun magazine. They had these cute little, EASY, candy airplanes. We decided that's what were were going to do for the kids in their classes. All we needed was Smarties, Gum, Pep O Mint Life Savers, some patterned paper, and rubberbands. We wrapped all of the sticks of gum with patterned paper and added some hearts to the top. We simply ran the rubberband through the two Lifesavers leaving space to stick the Smarties through also. Then put the stick of gum through the top. It's hard to explain, but very easy to do. So what are your kids doing for Valetine's Day?

Nuts For You Acorn Treat Holder

Well, this post is coming to you 3 days later than I had planned! Our household has been battling a lot of little illnesses and we are losing! Each day has been one thing or another and today Austin has a rash on his hands and arms. What's that about? So onto my project. This wasn't my original idea, but I've had to tweak it using supplies that I had versus what the original creator had used. How cute is this little acorn treat holder? For the Sahara Sand base of the acorn I cut 2 ovals with the Coluzzle. Then with Close To Cocoa cardstock I cut out 1 Top Note Die with the Cuttlebug. I cut it in half, making 2. Then I also cut a strip of C. To. C with the Scallop Border punch. I stamped my squirrel from Forest Friends from PTI.

For the base of the treat holder, I took a 3x7" strip of Sahara Sand cardstock, scored it at 1/4" on both long sides, then I added sticky strip to the scored sections. I snipped them with papersnips, then removed the red liner of the sticky strip. This way the cardstock with bend into a oval shape and it can be attached to the front and back acorn piece. I finished it off with a tag that says Nuts About You! These cute little guys will go to the kids teachers for Valentine's Day.

Love You Much

Finally.....a chance to stamp. The boys all returned to school today after being off for 15 days. I wanted to jump right into Valentine's Day projects. Using the products that came in my Love You Much Bundle (ask me how you can get 20% off of this bundle!) I created this card. The bundle comes with a stamp set, designer series paper, and a punch! The only extra things I used on this card that were not included in the bundle was the scallop border punch, the button, and the hemp twine that is tied on my button. So now that I'm in the V-Day mood, I'm off to create more goodies to share with you this week.
