On The Farm

How was everyone's weekend? It's somuch easier to start a Monday when the weekend was good! We had a great weekend. Friday night we did a little shopping. Saturday I got to babysit my neighbors beautiful 3 week old baby boy. Then had a fish fry with some friends. Sunday I had a baby shower and then when i got home Dustin took all of the kids for the afternoon. I got 4 hours to myself. I just stayed home and cleaned but it was so much easier without kids underfoot. I even found a little time to put this layout together. My scrapbooks have been neglected big time this winter, so I'm hoping to catch up this week. Hope you have a great one!

Birthday Basket

I had so much fun making the baby basket the other day, I decided to do another. This time using bath products for my m-i-l's birthday this weekend. If you are interested in the template for this basket it can be purchased from http://www.papertreyink.com . I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday.

I Am A Country Girl!

If you came here today to see something crafty, I'm sorry to disappoint you but I'm going to share something else with you. I can tie this in to stamping, I promise! I have been looking for some time now for a pair of boots to wear on the farm. Well, today was the day that I found a pair that I love! Now, you are probably thinking who cares. They are just going to get dirty anyway. Why are you excited about boots? And you are probably also thinking that why does someone who dedicates their entire summer to 4-H and the county fair not already have a pair of boots?! While these boots were purchased for the purpose of getting dirty they are way too cute to go jumping in any muddle puddles (or other kinds of puddles) just yet. These particular boots were meant to come home with me because if you know my boys at all you know that they LOVE anything that is camo. Do you know how cool they are going to think I am when they get home from school and see my new camo boots?! And so the love of my new boots has turned me from a city kid, born and raised, into a country girl. Oh, and for the stamping part of this post- as soon as I saw these boots on the shelf they reminded me of this card that I made eons ago! Yes, I get excited about the little things! Just humor me please!

A New Little Someone....

I have a baby shower coming up this weekend, and what a perfect time for Lauren's newest template to come along (PTI) ! I love this little basket! I am a basket lover, especially Longaberger. But I don't have too many because they are pricey! So for this little beauty I decided to make two finished baskets and adhere them together because all of my little goodies wouldn't fit into just one. I just filled it with some trial size baby items and then added a target gift card. What do ya think?

What's The Buzzzz?

Finally, a chance to post for fun! And I actually had time to enjoy sitting down and putting this card together! We got our taxes done last night so that is a weight off of my shoulders. And the boys are having their Valentine's Day parties today at school, so those treats that have been staring at me for weeks are GONE! I actually think until it's time to start Easter projects I might have a little break! So for this card I used the last of my Chocolate Chip cardstock (time to place an order), So Saffron cardstock, and some left over Washington Apple d.p. Since I had my bear Hugs set still sitting on my desk I used the little bees from it and put them on a flower that I made by slitting the scallop cirlcles to look like petals! TGIF!

Bear Hugs

What a gloomy, rainy day! It's making for terrible lighting for this project. These are what Carter took today for his little preschool pals. I didn't want to do any candy. He is in an intergrated classroom and candy doesn't mix well with some of the children. And none of them NEED candy, really. So I bought the prepackages Teddy Grahams. I used my Top Note die to make a topper for the bag. I added the "Big Bear Hug For You" sentiment and the little bear as well, from the Bear Hugs set, by CC Designs. Nothing fancy, but 3 year olds don't do fancy!

Valentine's Day Post Card

I've been wrapping my brain for something for the daycare kids to give to their parents for Valentine's Day without having to spend more money than I've already spent for the kids. In the middle of the night I came up with this cute post card idea. I used my Top Note Die and mounted it to a larger piece of cardstock. Then I used the Post Card stamp from the Winter Post set and the Happy Valentine's Day stamp from Holidays & Wishes. The scallop square punch always reminds me of a postage stamp so I used that and added a picture of Carter for this one. I addedf a few hearts and left some white space for the kids to write a message to their parents. Carter wanted to write his name. So there you have a very simple little project that the parents are sure to treasure.

Groundhogs Galore

Well, as you know Monday was Groundhog's Day! Unfortunately, we will be stuck with winter weather for 6 more weeks. The kids just love this silly holiday. They are so serious about it and think that in 6 weeks exactly they'll be able to go swimming or something. We decided to make groundhogs aka woodchucks from a few hearts and ovals. Here are a couple of them that the kids made. Now my daycare room is covered with little groundhogs and we'll leave them up through Valentine's Day since they are made from hearts! Now if only I had some creative time for myself!
