Take Time For Yourself

My poor Bellas have been neglected, so I pulled one out to use for my Mojo Monday Sketch. I may end up selling my Bellas because I just don't use them as much as I should. If I end up doing that, you will be the first to know. Anyway, the d.p. I used is from SU's Good Morning Sunshine collection. actually, all of the products, except for Bella and the sentiment, are SU! Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Rock-A-Billy

How has everyone's weekend been? The weather has been miserable here, so we didn't do a whole lot. We did a little shopping this afternoon. More for something to do than anything. This card was inspired by the shirt Carter had on yesterday. It says You Rock. It's perfect for him because he thinks he's a little rock star. So I pulled the color combo from the shirt, as well as the theme. I wanted to give Lily and Billy equal attention before Sweet Pea gets here. lol Have a great rest of the weekend!

Easter Lily

I am soooo excited about the new Pink Cat Studio release, that I cannot wait to get my new Sweet Pea stamps. If you've come to love Lily and Billy, Sweet Pea is a must have. Imagine Lily or Billy as a baby or having a baby! They are the cutest things! You will just have to head over to PCS to see what I am talking about. In the mean time, here is Lily, all dressed up and ready for Easter. I have to say I am quite impressed with the scene I created for this one! It looks like Lily is out hunting eggs with her pup on Easter morning. I colored everything with Copics. The d.p. is by 3 Bugs In A Rug. I love the colors! Well, I hope you are all having a great Friday.

Praying For You

What a crumby week it has been weather wise. At least Friday is in sight. I made today's card with the Thoughts & Prayers set. I didn't have any good sympathy sets until I got this one. now it's time to stock up on those types of cards. Nobody wants to sit down and make a card like this when something tragic has just happened, so I think it's better to have a few on hand. Although someone we know was in a bad car accident this week, and that was the reason for me pulling out this set in the first place.

He's going to be fine, but had gone through several surgeries this week and of course, we are praying for him and his family. I used the Parisian Breeze Specialty d.p. This stuff is awesome. It is textured so it's a little thicker than our traditional d.p. I also used the Top Note die and the mat pack for a little paper piercing. Then I tied on a ribbon and added some brads. I like how it turned out. What do you think?

Like A Garden...

I finally got a chance to play with one of the new sets, called Scene In A Garden, from the Occassions Mini Catalog (that will be available to my customers April 1st). I had to use the flower pot stamp and the boots because they are in 3's. All good things come in 3's. I like to think so since I have three boys. I paper pieced the little boots with the Good Morning Sunshine d.p. Carter decided who's boots were going to look like what. The d.p. for the background of the card is from the Walk In The Park collection. I colored the bench and the pots with Copics. I thought the sentiment went prefectly with the card, but I have no idea where it came from. I know it was a freebie that got sent with something else a long time ago. So even though it's rainy here, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Sunday's Workshop Projects

As promised here are a couple of the items that were made during the Stampin' Up! workshop on Sunday. You saw already the card that the girls made. It was the rabbit card from the Animal Crackers set. This box uses a template only available to demonstrators. The d.p. on the box is called Good Morning Sunshine. That's what my step dad always says to me when I call their house! lol All of the guests got the chance to make one of these.

I made this box and gave it away as a prize for a game. I think the recipient was really excited. I filled the bag with clips and buttons .

I always give my hostess a little extra something to thank them for inviting me into their home. This time was a little different because the hostess is my neighbor. She recently had a baby boy. I decided to use the Baby Boy Simply Scrappin' Kit and create pages for a 6x6 album so she can add pictures each month. Because I already have some pictures in it, I didn't post the pages for their privacy. I didn't want to post pictures of Jon on the internet without her permission.

So there you have it. I'm hoping to work on the Mojo Monday sketch from yesterday, but we will have to see how the day goes.

Have An Ice (Mon)Day!

Good Monday morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was good. It could have been a little warmer, but it was nice none the less. Today we have the last Animal Crackers card. I used the penguin this time with the sentiment that reads Have An Ice Day. Same d.p. was used on this final card that has been used on all of the Animal Crackers cards. Ihope you enjoyed them all. I hope to be back in a bit with the projects that we did at my workshop yesterday. Have a great day!

Ears Wishing You....

Here is the
4th card that I made with the Animal Crackers set. Thisis going to be one of the cards we make for the workshop I have tomorrow. I think this card could be used for Easter. I used the same d.p. and ribbon as I have all this week. I out liquid applique on his tail. I think the girls will enjoy playing with that tomorrow. Everything else is pretty simple, so I hope you have a great Saturday!

Nuts About You!

I did get a chance last night to make a bunch more cards with the Animal Crackers set. I will have one to show you for the next several days. I used the same d.p. as yesterday's cards, as well. Have a great Thursday! I have a workshop to plan for:-)

You Quack Me Up!

Although I got a shipment of new Stampin' Up! goodies yesterday it was way too nice outside to be stuck in the house stamping. It was about 70 degrees and sunny, so we spent most of the daylight hours playing outside. I did find a few minutes this morning to put together this card for my nephew, Brock. He is 2 and he has to be the funniest little guy I know. He loves the attention he gets by being a clown. So I thought I'd send him this springy little card. The d.p. is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, along with the ribbon. You can earn them both by purchasing $50 in SU! product through March 31st. And the little duck is from the Animal Crackers set in the 2009 Idea Book & Catalog.

Thanks Deer

I pulled out my Forest Friends set from PTI again to stock up on more thank you's. My neighbor stopped by and bought out my stash so it's time to replenish it. I used my new d.p. from 3 Bugs In A Rug. The collection is called Snip N' Snails. I also used Lauren's Saturday sketch for this card. I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready for another week!

Have A Sunshiney Day

Well the sun is definitely not shining here this morning! It's been windy and raining for 4 days now. Getting kinda old! So I decided to dust off my Veggiebella and hope that garden planting isn't too far away! I went with a white card base for a clean look. I just added a few squares of dp and some paper piercing, along with 2 flower fusion flowers and there you have it!

Pasture Prime?

Did everyone have a good Monday? The kids had a 2 hour delay due to high water from all of the rain we got on Sunday, so that put me way behind schedule! I didn't get a chance to post because of it. This card is from my new sets from Clear Dollar Stamps. They are called Farm Critters and Critter Barn. Thanks to my enabling sister-in-law I found these sets! I stamped my barn on watercolor paper and using reinkers and an aqua pen I colored everything in. I love the sentiment at the bottom. It reads Feeling pasture prime? Isn't that cute!? Because the image is so big I wasn't able to do much else with the card, but I like it!

Little Night Owl

The other day while perusing the net I came across yet another great stamp company. I didn't have a lot of time to research it but I got the impression that it is a rather new company. They only offer and handful of sets at the moment. There were a few sets I'd like to have, but the one I had to have right now is the Little Night Owl Set. It came at the perfect time. One of Carter's little preschool pals very excitedly told us at the beginning of the week that he is now a big brother. I wanted to make a card for the family and their new little bundle. I paired up this set with some of my Heidi Grace d.p. I love sets that I can create scenes with. You will be seeing more using this set in the days to come, but for now TGIF!!!

Get Well Soon!

This card I made this morning for one of my daycare mom's mother , who was admitted to the hospital yesterday with pneumonia. I thought Lily (from PCS) would be perfect for this card because this woman is a nurse, who happens to own our local scrapbook store! She is very hands on with her grandchildren that I babysit for, so I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her and hoping she gets well soon.

Homemade Honeycomb

I woke up yesterday with the slighest sore throat. Today I feel a little worse, but I think I'm gonna live! The idea for this card came to me this morning as I was putting honey in my tea in hopes of soothing the sore throat. I thought it would be fun to make a honeycomb with the bees flying around it while the bear sits outside the door keeping a watchful eye. The stamps again were from Bear Hugs, by CC Designs. I've gotten a lot of use out of this set. But I'm getting bored with my old sets. I haven't bought anything new for a long time and I think I deserve to buy some fun things with some of my tax return money:-)

Grrr!

Good Monday morning everyone! How was your weekend? We stayed plenty busy as usual. Yesterday I had a workshop, and I think it went well. Today I wanted to start the week off with Julee's Mojo Monday sketch that you can find here. I am getting very anxious for summer. And our favorite thing to do in the summer is camp, so I dug out my Under The Stars set. While I don't care for bugs and mosquitos, I will take them over this freezing, snowy weather we are having. It is supposed to warm up for the weekend though. Have a wonderful rest of the day!

Bunny Basket

I have a workshop today, and this group is full of seasoned stampers, so I decided to come up with just one project that is a little more time consuming and challenging so that they are not bored. You know how much I love my Basket Basics Timeless Template from PTI so we are going with that again today to create a little basket for Easter. So after putting my basket together, I made a little bunny to peek over the top using SU! punches and added alittle tag to the handle. I think they will love it. What do you think?
