Birthday Memo

This card is nothing like I planned it to be, although I don't know what that was supposed to look like- but I like the softness of it. This is the first time that I've used the Office Accoutrement sent from the spring mini. I'm not sure I love the set yet, but it's growing on me. For the card base I used Pretty In Pink. For the next layer I used Certainley Celery. I scalloped the right end and used my white gel pen to put dots above all the scallops. On the left end I used my ticket corner punch and put a white brad in those 2 corners. The 3rd layer is 2 different printed papers made by MOD (whoever that is!!). I bought them at Pat Catan's. I also used the ticket corner punch for the 2 left corners ,as well. I tied white grosgrain ribbon in a knot in the middle of the 2 printed papers to cover the seam. I was going to used my file folder coluzzle template for the "memo" stamp, but it turns out I don't have the file folder template! I have the library pocket template. That might have worked too, but I skipped it altogether. So instead I put the memo stamp on a white rectangle using Pretty In Pink ink so I could use my spiral punch along the top. I used my round tab punch for the "important message" stamp inked in Certainley Celery. My favorite part is the huge paperclip! You can buy them at Walmart in the office/school supply section. I layered the flowers, added white brads to the middle, and attatched it to the clip- then slipped it onto the "birthday wishes" memo. This would be a cute birthday card for someone in the office, except I work at home. I could send it to myself though, couldn't I? It will go to a good home so watch your mailboxes!!!!!
