Today's Workshop Projects

Here are the projects we made today at my workshop. The hostess is having a baby girl in November, so I demoed this 6x6 scrapbook page and then gave it to her. I used Kraft as my base, the Chocolate Chip and Groovy Guava for my coordinating colors. The set I used is Bundle Of Joy.This is a 2, 4, 6, 8 box that I made for the hostess and filled with incentive stamps.
How funny is this guy!? There is no stamping on this one, but I wanted to showcase our circle punches.
This technique is soot stamping. It is a very easy one, but a little time consuming, so I was glad to do it with a smaller group. You simply brayer a piece of glossy cardstock using a spectrum pad. Then you hold it over an open flame to cover it all with soot. Then you stamp whatever images you want into the soot. Here, Autumn Harvest was used. Then I had them spray it with clear acrylic so that the soot wouldn't rub off. I learned that even grown-ups love to play with fire!
Last, but not least.... we used the Sanded Background stamp on the different color sqaures and embossed the faces from Carved and Candlelit.
