Let It Snow - Snowbunnybella!

I got a few new Bellas this week that I hope to share with you. This is Snowbunnybella. When I think of winter I always go for Soft Sky and Blue Bayou for my colors. I also added Basic Grey. I used my snowflake embossing folder and Cuttlebug for the background. My main image is colored with ink in the pad lids and an aqua painter. I used liquid applique on bella's boots and coat. I added glitter to the snowflakes and for the snow around her feet I used microbeads. I always forget to use those. Maybe it's because every time I do, I end up with 3 million beads on the floor! Happy hump day!

Caramel Apples

Click on photo to enlarge for detail!
Carter and I just recently made caramel apples together for the first time. We had so much fun. The d.p. I used reminded me of "caramel apple colors" as soon as I bought it, so I knew that's what I'd use for this layout. Happy Tuesday!

ABC Book

As promised..a project to share with you. This is what I came up with for Cameron's kindergarten teacher for her Christmas gift. I started with a bitty board book and the Primary Colors Simply Scrappin' Kit. I covered the case and the book with the kit and decorated it. For the inside pages I used the ABC Images set to stamp an image for each letter of the alphabet per page. Then I am going to add a picture of each child in the class holding an object that starts with each letter of the alphabet. Then they can use the dry erase marker that I included to practice writing the letters on the page protectors. They can be wiped right off to be used again. This took a lot of time, so I hope she enjoys it, but I think she will.

Trick-Or-Treat

My little brother, Kyle with Cameron
Let's get trick-or-treating mom!Our little Payne Stewart
My mom, step-dad, and Dustin with one happy, sugar-high trick-or-treater

My brother, Kyle with his adorable girlfriend, Lauren and her daughter, Sienna. Aren't they cute!?

This weekend was trick-or-treat for the towns in the area. We didn't do a whole lot Saturday because it was cold and rainy. Today was alot of fun though. It was sunny and 50 degrees. Dustin and I took the boys with my mom, step-dad, and brother. Austin is "getting to old" to do much trick-or-treating (so he thinks). Cameron likes it, but hates to walk. Carter had a blast. He ran around like a crazy child. They are all going to sleep well! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I really hope to have something great to share with you tomorrow!

And The Winner Is....

....Courtney C. I had Dustin pick and number from 1-36 and he picked #9! Courtney, if you could get me your address, I'll get that blog candy out to you right away. I was never a big fan of dressing up for Halloween when I was a kid. I always did because my mom made me, but I didn't like it! I'll try to post a picture soon, but I wore this Raggedy Ann costume when I was 2. Looking back, it was adorable. I don't remember doing the princess thing, so maybe that's what I would choose now. And being the only girl in my house now- it would be fitting!! My favorite candy to receive would have to be Butterfinger. Sorry, I don't have any projects to share today. I've been so busy with the daycare kids this week. There's been no time for anything extra. Maybe tomorrow!

Snow Day

Click on photo to enlarge for detail
Finally...time to finish a layout. It's been a while and , boy, do I have a lot of catching up to do. This one is from last Valentine's Day whe we got a snow storm. School was cancelled had we had to be plowed out with a tractor. But it was fun to eat cookies and drink hot chocolate with the boys after an afternoon out in the cold!
Another reminder...just one more day until the blog candy winner is announced. Visit Tuesday's post for a chance to win!

Pookie Sketch

This cards is for today's SCS sketch challenge. I also used the colors for yesterday's color challenge. I used a Pookie image that I got from Ashley a while back. I colored him with Prismacolor pencils and Gamasol. I put glitter on parts of his hat and sweater. I used liquid applique on the ball of his hat and skates, also on the rabbit's tail. The Soft Sky panel was run through the Cuttlebug with the Snowflakes embossing folder. I added a pewter ice skate charm tied onto white organdy ribbon. I want to remind you to comment on the previous post for a chance at blog candy. Also, did you notice my new blog banner? Isn't it awesome!? Ashley has been playing around the past few days and came up with this one for me. What do you think?

Enjoy Life and Blog Candy

This is my 300th post! So today, I'm giving away blog candy! First thing you'll be receiving is this card. It is for today's SCS color challenge. We were to use Basic Gray, Purely Pomegranate, and Sofy Sky. I first used these colors together at Loisville regionals and love them! The set I used was also a promotion for the demonstrators who attended regionals. It is callled Enjoy Every Moment and will be available in the 2008 SU! collection beginning January 1st. I had a hard time with this set though. I think it will be cute for scrapbook pages, but was a stuggle for today's card. In addition to the card, the winner will be getting a giant alterable paperclip, an alterable board book, a Cuttlebug embossing folder, ribbon, autumn brads, Family Fun metal signs by Karen Foster Design, Studio G clear stamp set and acrylic block, sticky notes, Creative Imaginations paper clips, and a bag of die cut alphabet letters. Now here's what you have to do... Leave a comment on this post telling me what you would dress up as for Halloween if you were a kid again, and what type of candy would you hope to get if you were to go trick-or-treating. I will choose a random winner on Friday, October 26th. Thanks for playing.

Peek-A-Boo

These tiny little peek-a-boo boxes are just the right size to fit a little treat to put in a loved one's lunch box, or maybe to give to the mailman or the bus driver. Just a fun little gesture that you can whip up for just about anyone. Here is the link for the pattern.

Wedding Shower gift

Pretty early for a post, huh?! Well, I'm excited that it's Friday. We have a busy weekend ahead of us. Tomorrow I am going with my mom, stepdad, and grandparents to Columbiana, Ohio for Christmas in the woods. I've never been there before, but they all have. I guess it is in a woods decorated for Christmas with a bunch of craft vendors set up throughout. Hopefully I can get some Christmas shopping done. We also have a couples wedding shower tomorrow. Dustin will be taking the boys to that. I made this little box for the couple to hold a gift card. I used the Cutie Pie d.p. because I've made so many holiday related things lately. I needed to change it up a little. Happy Friday!!

Frightful & Delightful

This card is for yesterday's SCS sketch challenge. I had an Ollie & Max image that Ashley had given me so I used that for my main image. I colored it with my Prismacolor markers. I got the Frightful and Delightful sentiment from the dollar bin at Michael's. Have a great night and stay tuned for a blog candy give away. I'm just a few posts shy of 300!

Snowman Soup (With Pictures!)

I am so excited to finally share this with you now that is complete. This is my version of the snowman soup kit. The d.p I got from our new local scrapbook store. I'll definately be getting more because this isn't even what I intended to use it for when I bought it! I started with a simple white lunch bag and decorated both sides. I cut my cardstock a little larger than the bag in order to accomidate handles. For the inside: I have a tin of marshmallows. I got the tin from Specialty Bottle. Then I wrapped a belly band around 2 packs of Hot Chocolate. The stamp set I used is retired from Stampin' Up! called Like It A Latte (I think). Then I made a pocket to hold 2 "stirring sticks" and a poem that reads: "Santa says you've been good this year. I'm always glad to hear it! With freezing weather drawing near, you'll need to warm the spirit. Here's a little snowman soup, complete with stirring stick. Add hot water and sip it slow, it's sure to do the trick!" I am using this set as my altered item that I'm entering in the design team contest at Scrap Happy. I hope they like it! Well, it looks like blogger is unable to post pictures right now. I'll be back later with pics when it's up and running. Sorry about the delay!

EDITED: Finally this thing is working right!

Get Organized This Christmas

Click on the picture to see it in larger format
If you are anything like me you have to be organized in order for things to go smoothly in your household. I think I am pretty organized , so I actually made this file folder organizer for a family member who might loose her head if it weren't attached. I love this person very much. It is my mother-in-law. Erin, you thought I was talking about you, didn't ya!? Well, follow these instructions and you can make one for yourself!

I just used a file folder, cut off the tabs with my paper cutter, and scored each side in half. You should have 4 equal quarters when you are finished. One the 1st score line on the left side of the inside of the folder should be a valley fold, then a mountain, then another valley fold. I used slightly smaller pieces of d.p. to put on each section of the folder. Then I created pockets. For this I used the same method as I did when cutting and scoring the first folder. Only this time you are only going to need it to be about 4" inches tall. I all cover those with d.p./ I attached them to the 1st folder with sticky strip. I decorated each pocket with the Season Of Joy stamp set. In the first pocket I made gift card holders. In the 2nd pocket I have a Christmas card List. In the 3rd pocket are wish lists for each of her children and grandchildren. In the last pocket I have put an envelope for receipts because I think she gets enjoyment out of making returns, so I thought if the receipts were all in one place, it would make it a little easier for her. I haven't had time to decorate the outside yet, other than putting d.p. on the front and back. When I do finish it up it will have a ribbon tied around it to keep it shut and more images from the Season Of Joy set. I'd love to see waht you come up with. If you decide to make one of these- post a link in the comment section to your blog or gallery and I'd love to check them out.

Fall Is Finally Here!

Carter, Austin, and Cameron in front of my cousin's decorations on his campsite. The mad scientist
My favorite. This was was the wedding reception of the corpse bride. Those skeletons danced to the music. Hilarious!

Not that you've missed me, but we just got back today from camping for the weekend. Good news....no robberies this time! Although it was in the back of my mind the whole time we were gone. It was so cold! I had 6 layers on the whole time. Gloves, hats, the whole 9! I'm not a big fan of the cold, but I did enjoy myself and the kids had a blast. It was Halloweekend at the campground. There was so much to do. There was lot judging. I can't believe the time and effort that some of these campers put into 2 days. I had a whimpy string of lights that said Happy Halloween , that fell down by last night anyhow. They had trick-or-treat. that was alot of fun because Carter is at a fun age where he kind of gets what's going on. He loved all of the attention he was getting because of his costume and he says "Trick-or-Treat" so cute!!! So here are a few pictures of the weekend. Enjoy!

Mini Gift Bag

You all probably thought that I wasn't going to post today, didn't you? We'll here I am...finally. I am not enjoying this cool , damp week of fall we are having! But tomorrrow we are going camping, so I hope it warms up just a little and stops raining.

Onto the project. Just a breif explaination though because Grey's Anatomy is about to start and there are to be no inturuptions during that show!

We learned how to make this cutie pie gift bag at Louisville Regionals. I actually made this one the day that i got back and we didn't receive written instructions on how to make it. Refering back to my note I took that day, make no sense to me now. But when I figure it out I promise to share the instructions! I don't think you can tell from the picture, but the bag actually has 2 pockets. I put a cello bag in each pocket; one with 3x3 note cards and the other with embellishments that I created with the Season Of Joy set in the Stampin' Up! holiday mini catalog. What do you think?

Happiness..Is Shopping!!

I haven't used my bellas for a while, and I've got a pile of images that I received a long time ago- so they were perfect to use on today's SCS sketch challenge. No time for an explaination though. Busy day!!

Tic-Tac-Snow

What a beautiful day today is turning out to be. Not too hot, not too cold! My kind of day. I want to share with you a tic-tac-toe game that I put together this morning from an idea that I saw in a magazine. Sorry, I can't remember which one. This is so easy that it can be reproduced for any occasion or holiday. You'll need an empty CD case with the plastic part on the inside that holds the CD taken out. I cut a chipboard square. I covered it with dp. Added white paper strips to make the grid. I adhered a plastic pocket to hold the playing pieces. The sample in the magazine showed tiny chipboard snowflakes for the game pieces, but I don't have any so I improvised. I used the set Snow Burst. After stamping them with white craft ink onto paper, I punched them out and embossed them with UTEE for durability. I added stickers to the front to say TIC-TAC-SNOW. I also stamped more snowflakes in Versamark, then used heat-n-stick powder and dazzling diamonds glitter for a little bling!

Merrybella Genie Bag

Who knew a white lunch bag could be so cute! I cut a couple of inches of the top of the bag. I covered the front and back with the Dots & Dashes d.p. I added and extra 2 inched to the piece on the back so I could score it and fold it over to use as a flap for the bag. I added some ribbon and Bella. Now I just have to decide what goes in it and who gets it!!! Happy Monday!

No Time For Stamping Today :-(

I thought I'd find time today to do something creative, but it didn't happen. We had church this morning. Then we went to my nephews' soccer game. It was 90+ degrees and full sun! When we got home I went full steam ahead on the household chores and am just now getting a chance to post something. All I have to share with you tonight is a picture of my boys that I took Friday night while we were at Cedar Point. Hope your weekend was great!

Another Workshop Today

All 3 of these cards were cases. A version of this pumpkin card originally came from my friend Dawn, but I like the simplicity of it for a group of beginners. I have seen the pumpkin in many other places using the oval punch. This would be a fun card to send to the troops over seas. I wanted to add glitter and liquid applique fir snow, but again, SIMPLE was what we were going for today.
This one is my favorite!

I've been on a roll lately with workshops. I might actaully be earning money!!! I even booked another one today! Here are the cards that the girls made. They really enjoyed the workshop (I think) and seemed very interested in it. I am really hoping for another recruit soon though.

My Halloween Swap Has Arrived

Good Saturday morning everyone. Last night we took the boys to Cedar Point. We had a great time, and the weather couldn't be more perfect! I signed up for a fun Halloween swap over at The Witches Cauldron a while back. We were paired up with someone and we were to send them Halloween goodies, at least one homemade item, and their favorite candy totaling $15.00. My swap partner is Noel Fabbri! She is so sweet. I got her package yesterday. She sent me so many cool things. Here is a picture of all my goodies. You can click on the picture to get a closer look of everything. Thanks Noel.

Cards For Grandma

First of all, let me just say I have the best grandma ever. I have many reasons why I feel this way and I am forever greatful for all she does for my family. Anyways, she has a group of 10 ladies that she went to high school with that she still meets up with once every couple of months, in her hometown, for lunch. She always buys these ladies a card and gives them a little gift. This month she asked me to make the cards for her. A while back she saw a card on my blog using the Sistahoodabellas. She liked that one and asked if I could come up with something for her using that same one. This is what I came up with. I hope she likes them.

Kick Up Your Heels

This card I made a long time ago, but never posted it. So long ago that I don't remember what the set is called. I made a few of them so I sent them out to friends. So watch your mailboxes! I might be back later with more to share.

Combined Challenge

This card is for yesterday's SCS color challenge and today's sketch challenge. The colors we were to use are Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou, and River Rock. I think these are great winter colors. The stamp set I used is Punch Pals. I love all of our punches, especially the scallop, so this is a great set to have for that.

Well, I just have to share my diappointment with the sherriff's dept. and the police dept. The robbers that the police promised on 3 different occassions that they would be arrested have now left the state- so now they are telling us it is out of their hands. They are in Illinois, so if you are in the area, keep your doors and windows locked!!!! On that note- Happy Hump Day!!

Embossed CD Tin

I would have never thought to emboss on something other than paper, but when I read Heather's blog the other day, she had embossed on a tin. That very same day I received a tin in the mail that I ordered from Eclectic Paperie. So I gave it a try! You emboss it the same way that you would on paper. I used Snow Burst for the stamps. I inked them up in Versamark and stamped them onto the tin. Then I poured on silver embossing powder and melted it with the heat gun. The tin gets pretty warm so I set it aside while I made the belly band. I crimped a strip of Bashful Blue. Then I added a strip of Blizzard wrapping paper. I tied on some white organdy ribbon and added a scallop in the middle for a little something. I'm not sure what I'm going to put in this yet, but I have a lot of workshops coming up, so one of my hostesses just might be the lucky recipient!

What A Weekend!

I thought I would have good news to share with you today regarding the robbery, but it seems like we take one step forward and two steps back. It had been proved with video surveillance from several places that it was, in fact the roofers that robbed us. They were supposed to be arrested on Friday, but the police want to charge them with as many things as they can, so they were hoping to pull them over for ANY reason so they'd be able to search the vehicle and hopefully find our stuff and possibly drug paraphernalia. Friday night was ruined for me because I thought they'd be arrested by then and I went to Walmart to get groceries and they were there!!!! Can you believe that!? Now the police are saying they will be brought in for questioning this morning. Because they didn't actually "break" anything to get into the house they can't be charged with breaking and entering unless they admit they they broke in. So that's where we are as of this morning. Hopefully this afternoon I'll have better news to share.

Anyways- Saturday was GNO. We had a lot of fun and it took my mind off of things for a few hours. Sunday I had a workshop. There were 10 ladies there! So these pics are just a few of the things we made at the workshop. Happy Monday!
