Being the farm family that we are , having the Farm Fever set was never a question. I haven't used it in a while though, so I pulled it out today to make a card for Cameron's kindergarten teacher. Today was his first day of school, but his teacher was not there. Late Monday afternoon she became ill and they immidately admitted her to the hospital. I'm not sure why exactly, but we wanted to send her get well wishes. Feel better soon, Mrs. Carrick!

Trick-Or-Treat Bear
You will probably get sick of me by the end of the day, but I have a lot I want to share with you today. We'll start with today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge. I loved this one because it was a 3 in 1 challenge. I'll probably be making another card for this one. We were to make a Halloween card using 3 or more stamps for Challenge 1. For Challenge 2 we were to use an animal stamp that's not normal for Halloween and make it into such. And finally, the 3rd Challenge was to create a tent topper card. I forgot this part until last minute so it isn't normally how I'd do a tent topper. The sets I used are Bundle Of Joy and the little accessories are a TAC set. Sorry I don't remember what they are called. I flocked my bear and black cat so they are fuzzy, and I added Dazzling Diamonds to the moon. The rest is self explainitory. Thanks for looking!

A Gift For Ashley
Most of you know that next weekend I will be headed to Louisville, Ky for SU! Regionals. For those of you that didn't know that, you haven't been paying attention. I will be meeting my friend, Ashley, there. I've actually not met her in person yet, and I am so excited to finally get this opportunity. I want to give her a little something- so I decorated a clear paint can with the Happiness SSK, and I made a matching card to go with it. I filled the can with goodies for her, but I'll leave that a surprise for her. I hope she likes it.

100% Original Love
Inside of CardCard Front
This card is for today's sketch challenge. I love this layout. I made this card for Dustin and the inside lists 10 reasons why I love him. I used Wild Wasabi for the card base and Notations No. 2 d.p. I used a combination of stamps on this one. One being from Genuine Articles, another from Short & Sweet, and the rest from Office Accoutraments.

Who Says Pink Isn't Manly?
Here is another bella that I got last week. This is babyfellabella. Yesterday's SCS color challenge was to use Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranite, and Old Olive so that's what I used for this card. I colored the main image with SU! markers and I used the baby Cuttlebug folder for the background. This card is 5x5 square. Sorry for the dark picture. The sun's not up yet here! I'll be back later with today's sketch!

Meet Witchybella
Well, today was Austin's first day of school. He's in 3rd grade this year. I took hin this morning because of course I had to take pictures. He even let me give him a kiss good-bye! I was surprised because all of his buddies are in his class. So this week I hope to have a little extra stamping time. This card was for yesterday's SCS challenge..emboss resist. I hardly ever do that technique so I gave it a try today. I wanted to use my new bella for this card, but I don't like how it turned out. I was preoccupied with other things this afternoon. For the technique I stamped some halloween images on glossy paper with versamark. Then I poured on black embossing powder and heated it with the heat gun. After that, I brayered Pumpkin Pie ink over the entire thing, and wiped off the access with a paper towel. Now my fingers are orange, but hey....it's done!

Obey
Well, the fair is over. I'm a little sad, because this means the end of summer and back to school for the kids- but I am completely wore out from this past week. I wasn't able to stamp much , but I did throw this card together over the weekend. The card base is Sage Shadow. You can't tell from the picture, but I used the Sanded BG stamp with Very Vanilla Craft ink on the card base. The I used a sponged with Creamy Carmel ink around the egdes. I used the new Outlaw d.p. and mounted all of the panels on Chocolate Chip cardstock. The sentiment says "if you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun."- Katherine Hepburn. I just got that from Stamping Bella, along with a few new bellas I'll be sharing with you this week. I also used one of the images from the upcoming set True Friend. It will be available in the holiday mini catalog Sept. 1st. I mounted the image on a C. Chip scallop. I added lots of brads too!

Halloween Acetate Card
Thursday's Way To Use It challenge was to make a Halloween card. Easy enough, so I combined it with Wednesday's tutorial for acetate cards. I just use a transparency that I got from Staples for the card. I used white StazOn for the spider webs in the corners of the card. I used the Batty For You set with last years SU! Halloween d.p.

Guava Sky Butterfly
This card was Tuesday's color challenge, using Groovy Guava and Soft Sky. I used the set Priceless for this card. I had a hard time with these 2 colors together. I'm not sure why, because I love them both. I think it's because I usually use 3 colors together and 2 seems so limited. It's finally Friday! Has it been hot enough for all of you? It's been a weird weather week here in Ohio, but at least it quit raining! Have a great Friday!!

One Proud Momma!
Most of you know that I love to brag about my three boys. What's not to love about them, right!? This week is our xounty fair. The boys all took pigs to show on Tuesday. Austin (our oldest) got second in his class. The other boys got honorable mention. Then today for the first time ever, Austin got to show a Brown Swiss calf. Those are big cows! His is just under 6 months, so she wasn't HUGE, but big enough for him. I am so proud, because he got Reserve Grand Champion and his cousin got Grand Champion! How exciting!! So here's a picture of Austin, with his "champ", Miranda!

Cami Tri Fold
I wanted to use my new Creative License SSK (level 1 hostess) for yeterday's challenge. We we're to make a Tri- Fold card. You cut your cardstock 4 x 11". You score at 3 1/2 x 7". Fold on score lines so that the longer panel is on the right. Use your slit punch to punch a semi circle on the longer panel of the card. You will use that te keep you card shut. Then you punch a hole in your center panel. Stamp a main image on a seperate piece of cardstock. Adhere the main image to the left panel, make sure to line it up so that you will see it through your window in the center panel. When you close the card back up, your center panel becomes the front of your card. Finish decorating your card and you should have it.

My First Suspension Card
This card was much easier than I thought it would be. You simply choose two punches that will nestle together. You punch through your card base and smaller panel of card stock with the larger punch. Then stamp 2 different images and punch them out with the smaller punch. Attach them with floss so that when you open the card you are able to see the other image. The dp I used on this card is SU's Halloween paper from last year that I've been hoarding. I like it better than this year's. The set I used is Batty for You.
Kirsten's Kick Stand Card
With all this rain we've been having, I've had time to catch up on more cards that I've been wanting to make. And it's another wet one here in Ohio. These clever cards were designed by Kirsten Dubosque over at Confessions Of A Naptime Stamper. She calls these cards kickstand cards because the image on the bottom holds the card up like a kick stand. How fun!? I used the set called Season Of Joy from the upcoming holiday mini catalog. I used Old Olive for my card base and cut 1 1/2" off the bottom of the card front and scalloped it. The I put a piece of dp from the Dashing collection on the front of the card as well as on the inside. I attached my "kick stand" and tied on some gold ribbon, and there you have it!

A Card With A View
This was one of last week's SCS challenges, to create a view master card. I was a bit intimidated by them so I passed on the challenge. Then while visiting other awesome blogs I came across Julie's view master card, and it was the inspiration I needed to do this challenge. You can see her blog here. My card is very similar to hers, but I loved hers so much that I didn't really change much. Thanks Julie for the inspiration!

Isn't Life Sweet?
Today's card is a combination if yesterday and today's SCS challenges. We were to use pins yesterday on our cards and today the focus of the card was to be on the main image that you've colored/ Well, this card had a whole lot of coloring going on! I used Ruby Red for the card base. Then for the next layer I ran a piece of Night of Navy c.s. through the Cuttlebug and used the ticket corner punch on the corners. I used a strip of leftover Cool Caribbean from the scrap bin for the band in the middle. I tied a piece of Olive ribbon around it attached afew safety pins. I colored the house mouse image with WWC. Then I put flock on the mice so they are fuzzy and a layer of cleasr embossing powder on all of the suckers so they are shiney! TGIF everyone!!

Bayou Sand Snowman
Today when I read SCS's color challenge of Bayou Blue, Sahara Sand, and Chocolate Chip- I was a bit hesitant to start right in because those colors weren't jiving for me. When I read the challenge each morning, I start by gathering sheets of the cardstock colors that are provided. So I got out these colors and stared at them all morning. Finally it hit me!I pulled out my new embossing folder (sorry I don't remember the name) and went to work. I love how this card turned out. I hope you do too!

I am OFICIALLY finished with Carter's scrapbook. I got the last two layouts finished yesterday and I love how this one turned out. Last night Dustin and I looked through the book and reflected on the past year with our "baby". Now we move into toddlerhood! Yippy!

Fourth Of July Festivities
Well, I did it! I completed my 5 layouts this week and Carter's book is complete...was complete. I forgot about the pics that were still on my camera from the beach and camping, but I'll get those done today... I hope. This layout is from the 4th of July. I realize that my stamped images resemble snowflakes a bit more than fireworks, but I had to work with what I've got. This time I tucked the journaling behind one of the pictures on the right page. I used the spiral punch across the top and attached a mini library clip (available in the upcoming holiday mini). They are the cutest little things.

Mini Me
Pictures of yourself don't turn out so well when you're haivng your face smooshed. How precious is this?!
I've been told on more than one occasion that Carter looks like me. Who am I to disagree?! I told Dustin that I would keep Carter home for a nap while I got some house work done, and he and the other boys could go on to church. Carter and I have accomplished neither of those things, but we had a cuddle session instead! Just thought I'd share.

Bikini Babe
I wish I could take the credit for coming up with these clever cards, but I can't. My stamping sistah, Dawn, sent one to our swap group and I just had to try them for myself. They are so fun to make. I made lots and sent them to some of my girlfriends. My favorite part is the brads for the belly button ring. They are so easy to make. I started with a 3x6 piece of Creamy Carmel for the body. I used the 1 3/8" circle punch to create the hour glass figure. The I used scraps of my POP paper for the bikini. The bottoms are just a 2x3" piece ,again using the circle punch for the legs holes. Then the top is using the word window punch for the straps and the circles are up on dimensionals. Enjoy. Not much time for scrampin' today. My littlest man busted his chin open swiming last night so I've been taking care of him all day. Sorry for the picture. The weather has been uncooperative when it comes to picture taking.

Another Camping Layout
Well, I'm still working on my goal of 5 layouts per weeks- thanks to a little friendly competition with my friend, Courtney. Here is layout #3 for this week. I just realized that I never posted #1 and #2, but I never took pictures of them before I put them in Carter's album. Oh well! As you know we do lots of camping, so here is yet another camping layout. By clicking on the picture you will be able to see the layout in larger format. The picture in the top left corner is my absolute favorite picture that I've taken in a long time. I submitted it to the Stampin' Up! photo contest open to demonstrators only. It probably won't win anything, but I just wanted to share it with everyone.
Thanks Little Lady
This 4x4 card is for today's SCS sketch challenge. I haven't used my Little Lady in a while, and I wanted to do a quick card so I can get started on scrapbook layout #3 for this week. I used Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, and Old Olive for this card. Hope you're having a Happy Hump Day! Mr. Brown (actually his name is Fred) is bringing me some goodies from the upcoming Holiday mini today- so stay tuned for more cards.

Pictures From This Weekend
We won't tell Austin that the 25 fish that he caught in an hour was the same one that he kept catching over and over and was half dead. It had little chance of making it after that hour.
