You Crack Me Up

I know, I used this set yesterday, but I love it. Plus, I'm getting a head start on my Easter cards this way. For today's SCS challenge we were to use staples. I don't usually put staples on my cards, but I had it out already while finishing up bag toppers, so I had no excuse. I don't really like the staples on this card, but what's done is done!

Happy Easter

I know yesterday I said I'd post the SCS sketch challenge. I had my card done, ready to post, when we lost electricity ...again. For another 3 hours. It had been so windy that it was knocking out power everywhere. But here it is! I love the set A Good Egg. I also used some of the d.p. from the Level 3 hostess SSK- Just 4 You. The colors were Eastery to me. Everything on the card is SU, except for the scallop punches by Marvy. Let's see if I can make it back here a little later with today's SCS challenge.

Back To School

Here are two layouts that I've been working on the past couple of days. The first one is of Cameron's first day of kindergarten. I used the retired Primary Colors SSK for this. I'm sad that this kit is no longer available. Good thing I bought two while they were available.

The other layout is from out last camping trip of the season in October. This is another for Austin. I hope to be back later with today's SCS sketch challenge.

I Like You

Today's color challenge was to use YoYo Yellow, Basic Gray, and Going Gray. I really dislike yellow, and never use it so I was glad to get a chance to work on this challenge. The funny thing is that Carter is dressed in today's color challenge and I didn't realize it until after I finished my card. I found one stray image of this little Stampendous bee, and I thought that would work for today's challenge. This card is 4x5. I used the Cuttlebug for the background. The brads are Doodlebug sugar coated brads. The prima flower was a pastel yellow, so I colored it with my YoYo Yellow marker to make it brighter. I colored the bee with WWC and an aqua painter. The wings have glitter on them.

Dahlia Fold

Today I FINALLY got a chance to work on an SCS challenge. It's seems like it's been months since I was able to do that. We were to make a card using the Dahlia fold. Directions for this fold can be found here. One thing that the directions don't tell you is that you'll need 8 circles for this. I used the 1 3/8 circle punch. One slightly larger may work as well, but I wouldn't use one smaller than that.

Ohio State Fans

Click on pics to enlarge

I have fallen so behind this week. The kids had no school for three days, and that really threw me off. I had little time to create. I put these 2 layouts together in less than an hour. There are kind of plain, but that's what you get when you're pressed for time. the first one is of the boys in their Ohio State shirts goofing off for the camera. The second layout is of Christmas this year. Both of these are Austin's layouts. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Arthur- LIVE!

Cameron & Carter clapping to the musicThe Tooth fairy- The show was called Arthur Tricks the Tooth Fairy
The whole gang

No stamp time for me the past few days. Today I had a 4 hour daycare training and a full house due to no school, so no time today for sure. I did want to share with you a few pictures from last night. We took Cameron and Carter to see Arthur LIVE. They had so much fun and I love watching their excitement. It was a really good show. Lots of signing and dancing, which I love. Tonight it's more catching on to do on the scrapbooks, so maybe tomorrow I'll have a layout or two to share.
