Meet Me Under The Mistletoe

This card is a 2-in-1 challenge, though totally by accident. It was originally for yesterday's color challenge, using Soft Sky, Ruby Red, and Wild Wasabi. I made this card last night, then this morning when I checked the sketch challenge- it was almost the same sketch that I used! I had no idea it would be the sketch for today's challenge. The only difference is where I have the 2 jumbo eyelets, they used 2 diamonds shaped panels. I say it's close enough, so consider this today's challenge as well!

Mojo Monday #10

I realize that it is Tuesday, but I did do this card yesterday- just never posted it. This card is for Julee's Mojo Monday sketch challenge over at Poetic Artistry. Sketch challenges always make me feel like I've accomplished something great without wracking my brain to figure out how to put it all together. The card is 5.25" square. I used my new Figgy paper for the background and circle. I used Stampin' Up's Chocolate Chip wide satin ribbon , along with a sled charm I had lying around. The inside sentiment reads " A friend like you makes a friend like me really happy to have a friend like you." I thought it was fitting for Pookie and his little bunny friend.

Sockafellabella

Happy Monday everyone. Did you all have a great weekend? I did some Christmas shopping on Saturday for the kids. Then on Sunday I held a class here at my house. It went very well. I always love being able to visit with adults without children running around! LAst week I promised to share with you the new Bellas that I had gotten. I had so many other projects to share with you, that the Bellas sat on the desk, uninked until this weekend. I have a Christmas card to share with you of the new Sockafellabella. This card turned out so pretty. I wish it didn't take so long to make, because I'd like to make several to send out for my Christmas cards. Don't count on it though! The background paper that I used came from out L.S.S. - Scrap Happy. It is called Figgy by Cosmo Cricket. I love it. It is gorgeous. I watercolored my main image with watercolor crayons and an aqua painter. The white parts of Bella and Fella's hats have liquid applique on them, and the white parts of the stocking are flocked. The chipboard holly leaves and berries can about by accident. i got an ink smudge on the main image and I had to cover it up some how. It adds just the right touch though. Is anyone else getting anxious to decorate for Christmas, besides me and Kim?! I start earlier and earlier every year. I can't help it though. I love Christmas!

Thankful Garland

I created this garland using Stampin' Up's On Board Garland Greetings from the holiday mini catalog. There are enough letters left after this was finished to also make the word JOY. I'll have that for you another day. I was out of the Apple Cider d.p. so I had to use something else I had here instead. I am having a class here tomorrow, so I hung it right where the girls can see it, in hopes of them wanting to purchase the set to make one of their own.

Oh The Places You'll Go!

You all know that famous story book by Dr. Seuss. I bought it for my youngest nephew Brock to give to him when he starts walking. I'm kind of sentimental about these "firsts" for him because he is my last nephew on my husband's side. Inside the book I plan on writing something personal for him. Then as soon as I saw the sentiment stamp from Stamping Bella, I had to get it because I came up with this fun frame to hang on his wall to go with the "theme". What little boy doesn't love tractors and trucks and his mommy will love it, because..well....Auntie made it!!

Gum Holders

I got this idea from someone at regionals. These are perfect for little stocking stuffers or gifts for co-workers. I have sooo many projects in progress right now, that I had to show something quick. These only took 5 minutes to make. I started with a 9"x2" piece of cardstock. I folded it in half. I stamped it. Then I took my word window punch and punched the opening for the gum to slide in. and I tied on a ribbon. I used Trident gum because they are thin, but you could probably use mini Hershey bars or other things instead of gum. Have a great night!
