Happy Card Kit Finished

This is the card I made using the goodies that I got from Dawn. The papers and the monogram are so glittery. I love glitter! I made it for my sister-in-law, who's name happens to be Erin. I love sending her cards as much as (I think) she enjoys receiving them. Here's another one for ya sis!

Punchy Ladybug

My swap group host and friend, Dawn sent us a card for the month using her circle punches to create a ladybug. I wanted to do the same using the new Palette O' Prints paper. Contact me to find out how you can get yours! For my ladybug I simply used the 3/4 in. circle punch for the head and the 1 3/8 in. circle punch for the body and wings. For the wings I cut the circle in half then attatched them to the body. I drew on the antenea. I added the " bugs and kisses " sentiment from the Bugs And Kisses set. Bugs And Kisses to you all!

Triangle Box

Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator means having access to tons of templates to make all these neat boxes and such. This one I printed on the opposite side of the Polka Dots & Paisley designer paper that I wanted to use so the template was on the inside and unable to be seen. Then I filled it with goodies before sealing it shut. I'm not going to tell you what I put in there just incase you are the lucky recipient of this box! I tied a piece of white ribbon around it and through a slider that I cut with the Cuttlebug. The "For You With Love" sentiment is from the Riveting hostess set. I put dazzling diamonds on the heart in the center and tied a couple of mustard ribbons to the white for added color.

Camping

I hope everyone had a great weekend. We went camping and it ended up being nice, but it didn't start out so well. Cold and rainy most of the time, but the kids enjoyed it. I already had my pictures developed so I was able to get a layout finished for Austin. The stamps I used are from the Camping set in the Spring Supplement from The Angel Company. If anyone is looking for a TAC demo- contact me and I can hook you up with my sister-in-law. She'd be happy to help you!

PMSabella ~ a.k.a. ~ Ericabella!!!!

I just love this little Bella. She reminds me of myself. It doesn't have to be a PMS day to stuff myself full of junk (particularly sweets)! I am definately a junk food junkie! The colors I chose for this are a little off the wall, but I kind of like them together. Yesterday's SCS challenge was to use Orchid Opulence. I never use that color, and since I wasn't able to do the challenge yesterday I just incorperated it into today's card. So here's the scoop- I used white for my card base. I shortened my card front on the right side a little and scalloped it. I used the Polka Dots & Petals set for the background on the card with Real Red & Orchid Opulence. For the inside of the card I put a strip of the O.O on the right side and stamped the sentiment "take time for yourself", and I put white gel pen dots around the scallops. Second to stamping- eating junk is how I take time for myself!! Okay- then I stamped (we'll call her Ericabella) her on white cardstock and colored her in with watercolor crayons. I flocked her socks so they are fuzzy and I put dazzling diamonds glitter on her shirt. I layered her on O.O. and R.R and I made the red slightly longer on the right side to allow for me to poke holes with the paper piecer. I put Ericaballa and layers on dimensionals and there you have it!!

Sandusky Co. Fair

I have been informed by my sister-in-law that I have been slacking on new posts since Wednesday so I've got some catching up to do. Next weekend is Austin's First Communion / birthday party and I'd like to have his scrapbook caught up so we can show it off at the party. This layout is from this past August at our county fair. He is in 4-H and shows pigs so I found this adorable 4-H paper and our local scrapbbok store that works perfectly for this layout. I kept it simple because I've got a lot to catch up on, but I got Austin's approval-so that's all that matters. TGIF everyone!!

Last Card Of The Night!!

I've been a card making fool today so I'm going to call it a night. This one is a thank you for my friend, Mel who has been an awesome customer lately and has helped me out with a recent workshop that didn't go so well. It's using the emboss resist and shaving cream technique using Rose Red and Taken With Teal. Stamp sets I used are Polka Dots & Petals and Office Accoutrement. She loves embossing, especially with Winter White E.P. so I hope she likes this.

Father's Day Fisherman's Vest Card

This card was so easy too make. I printed the template that I've had forever on Kraft cardstock. I used the paper piercer around the vest and used the Chocolate Chip maker to connect the holes for faux stitching. The vest back ground are Lures from TAC stamped in CLose To Cocoa. I put orange eyelets down both sides of the vest so I could lace it shut. The pockets are simple squares of Really Rust folded over at the top and also faux stitched. My dad likes to fish so he might be getting this one for Father's Day!!!!

Rain, Rain- Go Away.....

This is Billybootabella. This card I made for today's SCS sketch challenge and it worked out perfect for the soggy, dreary day we are having today. The rain drops were drawn with Bashful Blue marker, then I used Crystal effects on them to make them raised and added Dazzling Diamonds for shimmer. I did the same for the puddle she is standing in. The rest is pretty basic stuff, but this is the layout that we were provided with for this challenge.

Bella Wishes

This is Cakeabella. I intended for this to be a matchbook style card, but when I went to put my main image on it- it was too big, so I had to turn it sideways. For the card base I used Mellow Moss.I scalloped one end, folded it over about 1 1/2 inches, and put on white gel pen dots. The Decor paper I used is double sided paper that will be available in the 2007/2008 Idea Book & Catalog (July 1st). The color of that is Almost Amythest. I also poked holes along the left side of the Mellow Moss. The main image is bella that I watercolored and added 2 brads to the bottom right corner. She is layered on Almost Amethyst and Mellow Moss. The white tab on the left is made by using the round tab punch and I stamped "Wishes" in Almost Amythest on it. To finish it off I closed it with a square clip from the hodgepodge kit and tied on a white ribbon. Birthday Wishes to whomever may receive this card!!

What's Cookin'

Meet Chefabella. There'a a lot going on with this card! The base is Real Red layered with black. I stamped the cherry pie with white craft ink on the black and added red glitter to the cherries. The band down the left side is a layer if white, black, and Real Red. I attached two red brads to the top. The oven mit and the inside santiment, "What's Cookin' is from the BBQ Time set. Then I wrapped red, black gingham, and white ribbon around it, Bella is watercolored and I used white flock on her apron so it's fuzzy. I layered her on black and Real Red. The red has white gel pen dots around the corner and the black has holes that I pierced with the paper piercer, but you can't really see them. Now, I'm off to make lunch!! I'll be back later with at least 3 more cards!

VA Tech Sympathy Card

Today's SCS color challenge was to use Bravo Burgundy, Pumpkin Pie, and Always Artichoke was optional. We were to create a sympathy card for a VA Tech family. I kept it simple because I'm sure they will be receiving an overwhelming amount of cards and in this situation all the details aren't as important. The inside says "May the beautiful memories that fill your heart help to bring you comfort."

If anyone else is interested in sending them a card the address is:

Fort Gordon, GA 30905

Another Bunch Of Bellas

In my mailbox today were 5 more Bellas and some sentiments that I ordered. This one is Beachabella. The warmth of the past few days has got me psyched for summer, so I wanted to to do this fun card. The card base is Tempting Turqouis that I ran through the Cuttlebug. The bottom half is a scrap piece of decor paper I had. I've been trying to use up my scraps so you might see quite a few of them in the next few days. I tied a ribbon around the middle where the seam is to cover it. I added a flip flop charm to the ribbon. The decor paper strip down the right side was distressed at the bottom and I folded over the corner and added a brad so a little of the other side peeks through. The main image is watercolored with W.C. crayons and I put dazzling diamonds on her bathing suit. I layered her on Really Rust and stamped the sentiment "Life's A Beach..." The inside says "go barefoot". I got that one from TAC. Enjoy these warms days!!

Last Baby Card Of The Day

I tried to post this last night, but it wouldn't let me upload my photo so here it is this morning.... I would have to say I sure got my money's worth out of this set. I have used it so much this past week. I'm hoping to get a scrapbook page done with it too before I put it away. The card base is Chocolate Chip layered with a piece of designer paper from the Friends & Flowers Simply Scrappin' kit (level 1 hostess). The band down the laft side is Old Olive scalloped with with gel pen dots on the scallops. I layered that with So Saffron that I stamped with the stars border from the Bundle Of Joy set. I put stickles on the stars for shimmer and added a hodgepodge square frame for the "sweet heart" sentiment. The main image is the teddy bear from the same set flocked so he's fuzzy. He also has brad buttons. He is layered on an Old Olive faux giga scallop punch. I hope you like him!!

Bundle Of Boy

I said that this weekend I was planning on making some baby boy cards. Well, it was 80 degrees and we brought home our new camper- so we worked on that instead. Here is one that I made this morning though and will probably whip up a few other after the kids lay down for a nap. I used Always Artichoke for the card base, then More Mustard for the next layer. I ran that through the Cuttlebug using the BABY embossing folder and scalloped around the entire thing. Today's SCS technique challenge was to create a tab for your cards to resemble the Levi jeans red tabs. I used the round tab punch on Bordering Blue C.S. for mine and I stamped "Boy Oh Boy" from the Just So Sayings set in Always Artichoke. The band in the middle is Bordering Blue layered with a strip of the Treehouse designer paper. I wrapped a piece of organdy ribbon around that and tied it in a knot, then added two safety pins. The main image is the giraffe from the Bundle Of Joy set. I stamped him with Timber Brown StazOn and watercolored him with More Mustard. For the brown areas I used my 2-way glue pen and dusted them with brown flock so they are fuzzy. He is layered on Bordering Blue and Always Artichoke and I used the ticket corner punch on the White and Bordering Blue before adding the brads to the corners. I hope everyone is having a great start to a new week!

More Baby Girl Cards

These are my last girls cards, and today I plan on making some baby boy cards. The card base is Pretty In Pink. The patterned paper is from Pat Catan's, but I don't know who it's by. The middle band is a layer of Chocolate Chip and then Pretty In Pink ran through the Cuttlebug with the BABY embossing folder. The main image is the bear from the Bundle Of Joy set. I stamped it with Timber Brown StazOn onto Blush Blossom paper. I scalloped the bottom and used the slot punch so I can run white organdy ribbon through it. I added safety pins to the knot. The top right corner I made a "photo corner" by cutting a triangle of Chocolate Chip and poked holes in it with the paper piercer. The left corner has Primas. Under the bear I stamed "Little Bundle Of Joy" in Real Red. And all of that is layered on Real Red that is also scalloped. Happy Saturday!!

And The Winner Is.....

Renee! Congratulations! If you could email me so I can get this out to you asap that would be great!!!

Renee's recipe is actually one of our staple meals when we go camping, but it's our favorite so I'll share what she said with all of you:

Well, this doesn't require a big reciope. We always have a pie iron with us. For supper, stoke up the campfire. Take two peices of bread, and make like a grill chesse, put on some pizza sauce and top with your favorite pizza toppings. Put it in the pie iron, stick it in the fire and wait for it to cook. For dessert, do the same thing except top with your favorite pie filling! Yummy!!

Thanks Renee and those sound sooo good right now!!

It's Almost Time

2 hours and counting until I draw the winner of the blog candy. A big thanks to my good friend Ash for sending visitors of her blog over here to me. If you've never been check it out *www.ashleyscreativecorner.blogspot.com*. She's got a blog candy give a way going on too!! You can also get there by scrolling down to the bottom of this page and clicking on her link. okay- so there has to be more than a few of you that go camping. I would like to get as many recipes as possible so I can make a camping recipe book that I'll share with all of you when it's done!

This is a picture of our middle son, Cameron, who's 4- playing at the park!!!!!!

Bundle Of Baby Girl

While I had the Bundle Of Joy set out I thought I'd whip up a few other cards that I might need in the near future. Between family and friends I know of at least 6 people have babies between now and November. Most of them know they are having girls...or think they are having girls according to their ultrasounds. But here's a little true story I'd like to share with you. My sister-in-law and I were pregnant at the same time with our second babies. We were due 8 or 9 weeks apart, but ended up having them 6 weeks apart. We went ot the same doctor, but a different doctor read our ultrasounds. That doctor was the same for both of us too. First she gets the news that it's a girl. Then I am thrilled to find out a few weeks later we would be having a girl too!! Well, a few weeks after that my s-i-l had to have another ultrasound before delivery for whatever reason. Guess what- her little girl now has boy parts! So she had a few days to digest that information and plan accordingly. Now it's my turn to deliver, but everything looked good for us so another ultrasound wasn't needed. D-Day is finally here and guess what....It's A BOY!!! So girls -it DOES happen and pretty often....so don't go crazy buying pink just yet!!!

Well- They're Not Exactly The Same....

Here is the second boy birthday card. They are very similair, but I changed it up just a little. I know- there are scallops on this one, but I couldn't help it!!! Instead of watercoloring my little bear I flocked him so he's fuzzy. They are both equally adorable if you ask me!

Bundle of Birthday Boys

Most of you know that I do in-home daycare. I have 2 little guys that will be 1 & 2 next week, so this is the card that I made for them. I think it turned out so cute that I made them both the same card. Can you believe I didn't make scallops? It was soooooooo hard, but I made a bet with myself that I could do it!! What was life like before scallops? Okay- so the card base is Summer Sun. The next layer is Pumpkin Pie and I ran the top half of that through the Cuttlebug to emboss. I used the ticket corner punch on the top 2 corners and put in brads. The bottom half of that layer is just some scraps of patterned paper I had. The next layer for the band across the middle section is Summer Sun and more patterned paper. The main image is the bear from Bundle Of Joy out of the spring mini. I watercolored him and added brad "buttons". I think that's my favorite part. He is layered on Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie. I punch 3 holes down the left side and added ribbon. And the finishing touch is the "Enjoy Your Day" circle at the bottom corner from the Riveting hostess set. Birthday Wishes to Christopher and Aiden!!

First Blog Candy Give-Away!!

I'm in the mood to give something away!!! I accidentaly bought 2 of the BABY Cuttlebug embossing folders- so you are going to have to chance to win one of them!!! For those of you who are saying, "but I don't have a Cuttlebug"...read the post entitled "Stamping Sistahs" and toward the bottom I give a brief explaination on how to use the embossing folders with a rolling pin. All you have to do is leave me a comment with your favorite camping recipe. I will draw a winner on Friday at 9 P.M. The embossing folder will go in the mail Saturday morning! Good luck to you all!! Please remember to leave your email address so I can let you know if you are the lucky winner!!

Birthday Memo

This card is nothing like I planned it to be, although I don't know what that was supposed to look like- but I like the softness of it. This is the first time that I've used the Office Accoutrement sent from the spring mini. I'm not sure I love the set yet, but it's growing on me. For the card base I used Pretty In Pink. For the next layer I used Certainley Celery. I scalloped the right end and used my white gel pen to put dots above all the scallops. On the left end I used my ticket corner punch and put a white brad in those 2 corners. The 3rd layer is 2 different printed papers made by MOD (whoever that is!!). I bought them at Pat Catan's. I also used the ticket corner punch for the 2 left corners ,as well. I tied white grosgrain ribbon in a knot in the middle of the 2 printed papers to cover the seam. I was going to used my file folder coluzzle template for the "memo" stamp, but it turns out I don't have the file folder template! I have the library pocket template. That might have worked too, but I skipped it altogether. So instead I put the memo stamp on a white rectangle using Pretty In Pink ink so I could use my spiral punch along the top. I used my round tab punch for the "important message" stamp inked in Certainley Celery. My favorite part is the huge paperclip! You can buy them at Walmart in the office/school supply section. I layered the flowers, added white brads to the middle, and attatched it to the clip- then slipped it onto the "birthday wishes" memo. This would be a cute birthday card for someone in the office, except I work at home. I could send it to myself though, couldn't I? It will go to a good home so watch your mailboxes!!!!!

Stamping Sistahs SCS Challenge

Today's card combines yesterday's color challenge (using Cool Caribbean, White, and Black) and today's sketch challenge. The card base is Cool Caribbean. The 3 panels on top of that are Black and White that I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Spots embossing folder. The main image is my Bellas stamped on White c.s. and colored with watercolor crayons. I put dazzling diamonds somewhere on each of the girls. I layered that on Black and Cool Caribbean and added black grosgrain to 2 of the corners. The main image and layers is up on dimensionals.

Now- I want to take a minute and share a little trick I learned yesterday. A trick I wish I would have known 3 weeks ago when I "let" my husband buy me that expensive little Cuttlebug. How would you like to be able to still use the Cuttlebug embossing folders to add dimension to your projects without spending an arm and a leg for the machine that lets you do it!? Here's how:
1. Spritz a little water on the piece of cardstock that you want to emboss.
2. Put the cardstock in the emossing folder and tape shut (to keep the c.s. from moving around inside the folder).
3. Using an even amount of pressure, roll over the folder with your rolling pin- and Voila.....you should now have an embossed piece of cardstock!
The folders are fairly inexpensive, so this may be the way to go and you could save yourself anywhere between $60 & $80! Yes- that's how much one of those little bugs cost!! Now you go give it a try. Oh yeah- an added bonus (besides saving you money) is that you burn a few calories doing it this way. You'll use muscles in your arms that you probably haven't in a while and your abs will get a workout too. If you don't believe me go try it!!!!

Polka Dots & Paisley Thank You

I got the Riveting hostess set a long time ago and have never used it, but I wanted to use my new slider die for my cuttlebug. The Riveting "thanks.. " just so happened to fit it perfectly. The card base is Old Olive and I layered it with a piece of the Polka Dots & Petals d.s. paper. Of course, I scalloped the bottom by taking the guard off off my corner rounder punch. I promise- someday that will get old, but not just yet! I put a strip of Tempting Turqouis across the middle, layered it with Old Olive- and yep...it's scalloped too. I used my cuttlebug slider die for the More Mustard piece. I tied White grosgrain through it and wrapped it around the middle of the card and tied it in a knot. I used the "Thanks So Much" from the Riveting hostess set for the middle of the slider. This card is to say thanks to all of you for visiting my blog. Keep coming back!

Austin's First Communion Invites

Okay, I'm not too sure I love these, but I was trying to come up with something quick so I can get them in the mail this week. I was inspired by the scrapbook paper that I bought to scrap his First Communion pictures for the colors for these invites. I usually put an invitation in their scrapbooks, so I like them to somewhat coordinate. I do like the simplicity and elegance of them, however. They will have to do! The card base is Chocolate Chip, layered with Creamy Carmel- ran through the Cuttlebug -using the Swirls embossing folder and scalloped at the bottom by taking the guard off of my corner rounder punch. For the main image I stamped a cross and "You're Invited" with gold ink on Creamy Carmel. I used the ticket corner punch for the corners and wrapped a piece of gold organdy ribbon around it. I then layered it on Chocolated Chip and mounted it on dimensionals. The inside has the info for his First Communion. This picture doesn't do this card justice, because the colors look goofy. You get the idea though! God Bless!

One Sheet Box/Bag

How cute is this little bag/box? It was so easy to make and only uses 1 sheet of 8 1/2x11 cardstock. What I like best about it is there is no cutting, only scoring. I used a sheet of cardstock from the SAB Delight In Life Simply Scrappin ' kit. I scored it on the short side at 2 1/2" and 6". Then I turned the sheet and scored it at 4 1/2 " and 6 1/2" on the long side. Next, you have to bring the horizontal fold to the vertical fold to create a diagonal crease on all four corners. That was the confusing part, but I figured it out! Then you can stamp on your cardstock and decorate as you wish, but since I used patterned cardstock I simply tied White organdy ribbon around it and added a sticker to the middle of it and put it up on dimensionals and closed the top of it using a square clip from the hodgepodge kit. It is the perfect size for some candy, or a stamp, or any small trinket to give as a gift. I'm going to fill mine with a little something- and you never know, it could be you that I give it to!!!

MOM 6x6 Scrapbook Page

Here is the 6x6 page that I demoed yesterday at my workshop. I used Vintage Violet for the base of the page. Doodle This were my stamps of choice for this page. On the bottom of the Vinatage Violet I stamped doodles across the bottom in Vintage Violet ink. Then on a strip of 2x6 Sage Shadow I stamped MOM using the Big Deal Alphabet in Sage Shadow ink. For the "O" in MOM I stamped the flower in Pixie Pink onto Pixie Pink, added dazzling diamonds to the circles on the petals and cut it out to put in the center of the "O" to add some dimension. Next I cut a 1x2 strip of Pixie Pink and attatched it above the Sage Shadow strip with Always Artichoke brads. I also put a Vintage Violet flower in the cnter of that. Above that I put a 3 1/2x2 rectangle of Tempting Turqouis and stamped another doodle with Tempting Turqouis ink. I added a small photo of me and my boys on the remaining section of Vintage Violet and cut a small Pixie Pink triangle for a photo corner. For the hostess I left that section blank so she could add her own photo. This would make a cute Mother's Day gift. Happy Sunday:)

Happy Birthday Samantha!!

My friend, Danielle's little girl, Sam, just had her 2nd birthday. Since I was sick I didn't get around to getting her card made until yesterday. It will go in Monday's mail and be a little late, but who doesn't like to get happy mail? The card base is made from Rose Red. I randomly stamped some of the images from Birthday Beauty on the Rose Red with Rose Red ink.The next layer is a smaller piece of Sage Shadow cardstock. I stamped Birthday Beauty up the side of the cardstock with Rose Red ink and tied a piece of white organdy ribbon around it attatching a charm that has a crown and says Princess. The main image was stamped on White and colored with markers. I distressed the edges using the distressing tool from the cutter kit. I used silver glitter on her crown and micro beads on her dress and shoes for some added glitz. I hope she likes it. I think she will because don't we all wish we could be a princess or a beauty queen for a day?!

It's The Little Things...

This morning I wanted to make a quick card to get me in the mood for my workshop this afternoon. It's very simple, but I think it's cute! The card base is Mellow Moss and I put a piece of Cranberry Crisp on top of that. I stamped the sentiment "It's the little things that make life big" in Cranberry Crisp onto the Cranberry Crisp Cardstock. That sentiment is from the Happy Harmony SAB set. The main image is on white. I stamped 3 of the images from Polka Dots and Petals. One in Close to Cocoa, one in Cranberry Crisp, and one in Mellow Moss. Those became flowers when I added buttons to the center and a stem. For the petals I tied a piece of True Thyme stitched robbon in a knot and added it to each stem. I layered the main image on Always Artichoke and put it up on dimensionals. I hope everyone has a happy Saturday!

Polka Dots & Petals Workshop Card

This is one of the cards we will be making tomorrow at my workshop. I cased the layout from my friend, Ashley. The card base is Old Olive. I stamped it with the White Craft Pad using the Polka Dots & Petals set from the spring mini catalog onto Rose Red. I scalloped the bottom edge by taking the guard off of the corner rounder and punching across the bottom. I added two Old Olive brads in the top left corner. Then I layered a strip of Polka Dots & Paisley designer paper on Old Olive and tied a piece of Rose and Mustard ribbon around it and attatched it to the middle of the card. Then I stamped the sentiment "Find joy in the little things" using Rose Red ink on White and layered it on Rose Red and Old Olive and attatched it to the top right corner of the middle section. I hope they enjoy learning how to make the scalloped edge with the corner rounder punch. It's great to be able to use a punch in a different way.

Orange Looks Good On You Baby!!!

First of all, let me just start off by requesting that you not judge me! I am (was) one of those parents who said "my kids will never color on the walls!" That is until today. Apparently Carter inherited the artistic gene as well and used himself, the tv screen, and my living room wall as his canvas. Earlier today Cameron was using markers to color in his new giant coloring book- in the kitchen- the only place they are allowed to use markers! He put the stuff away and went on with his day. Evidently one of the markers (Tiger Orange) to be exact, strayed into the living room. We can blame that on the cat. Well, most of you know I'm a daycare provider so I'm a little preoccupied doing other things once in a while. Carter saw that as an opportunity to show off his talents. This is the finished product. Maybe he'll be the next Piccaso!

A Camping We Will Go.....

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of this dreary cold weather. It has been a miserable spring so far and I can't wait for summer to get here. Part of the reason why I can't wait is because we just bought a camper! We camped a lot last year, but we used my in-law's camper, which was okay- but I need my own space! The boys love it because it has bunk beds and they are already packing things to put in it. The excitement from that inspired me to make this card with the Happy Camper set. I think I'll be using this set to make a 6x6 scrapbook page for my upcoming workshops this weekend. The card base uses True Thyme ran throught the Cuttlebug using the Swirls embossing folder on the top 1/3. The middle is a strip of Choccolate Chip wrapped with brown polka dot ribbon tied in a knot. The bottom uses the boot stamp in Chocolate Chip. The main image in the middle is a faux Giga Scallop circle using my slit punch also in True Thyme. The middle of the white circle I stamped the bear in Chocolate Chip and it's raised up on dimensionals. Happy Camping!

Dream Come True

Today's challenge was to complete the sketch provided so that your card layout looks something like this. For the card base I used Pretty In Pink. The next layer is the Rebecca DS paper. The left panel of layers is Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, and Pretty In Pink. I tied a white ribbon around the top and added safety pins. The sentiment on the bottom is from Cute Converse and says "dream come true".The main image, Jammybella, is stamped on Whisper White and layered on Choocolate Chip. I colored her with watercolor crayons. I added Dazzling Diamonds to the centers of the flowers. I puffed up her slippers with liquid applique and flocked her teddy bear to make him fuzzy. Now Jammybella is ready for dreamland!Hope you all have a great night!

Something For You

I hope everyone had a great Easter. I wish I could say we did, but we didn't. I have been sick for over a week and a half now and the worst of it hit over the weekend. My husband had to work so the boys and I had to go to all of our family functions without him. That was disappointing for me, but the Easter Bunny didn't disappoint the boys- that's for sure. They got candy of course, pajamas, books, DVD's, sand toys, stuff for camping, and money. They thought it was Christmas all over again! So with not feeling well and Easter I haven't touched a stamp for almost a week, until this morning! This card is for the SCS color challenge using Real Red, Black, and Sage Shadow. Not 3 colors I would have put together on my own. The card base is black, and the next layer is Sage Shadow embossed with the Spots and Dots embossing folder and the Cuttlebug. I wrapped a piece of black gingham ribbon around that and tied it in a knot. The main image is from the Something For You hostess set from TAC. I watercolored the boot and flowers and put Dazzling Diamonds in the middle of the flowers. I layered it on Real Red and took the guard off of my corner rounder punch to make the scallops along the bottom. The main image is raised with dimensionals. I hope everyone has a great week!

Candid Christmas

This layout was done following the scrapbook sketch on SCS this past Saturday. Since I was sick, I'm just finishing it, but I had to do it because it was an awesome sketch!(See photo for sketch.) This is Carter's impromptu photo session here at home in November, trying to get the perfect photo for our Christmas cards. He smiled and laughed the whole time until the very end so we called it quits. But I got a shot that worked for the cards. The designer paper that I used was from the Scrapbook Attic in Fremont, Ohio- by American crafts. The metal signs were from there also. I get a lot of stuff from that store- it helps to be friends with one of the owners and her daughter! The title was stamped with the Big Deal Alphabet set using Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Creamy Carmel ink. I cut them out and mounted "CANDID" on a curve on the left page and "CHRISTMAS" down the right page. I added a little ribbon, a couple of safety pins, and some primas to complete the layout. It's funky, but I like it!

Bleached International Tractor

Good morning everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I've been nursing 2 of my sons and myself back to good health for a while now. I feel much better today so it's going to be a catch up day for me. This card I made quickly to get back into the swing of things using today's SCS color challenge: Real Red, Black, and Kraft. My father-in-law is a farmer and so we are a Case IH family.I will use this as his Father's Day Card. I found this tractor stamp last fall in Amish Country and I had to have it! The base of the card is Kraft, layered with Black then Real Red. On the Real Red I stamped my Linen background stamp with versamark, but you can't really see it in the picture. Also on the Real Red I stamped "glad you're my dad" in black ink. The tractor was first stamped on the red with versamark and embossed with black embossing powder. Then I did the bleaching technique by putting bleach in my aqua painter and coloring the inside of the tractor to remove some of the color. The main image is layered on black and kraft and mounted on dimensionals. I also tied black gingham ribbon around an S clip on the card base. Happy super early Father's Day ~ Dad Payne!
